Repair Our Road, Owerewere Residents Tell, CTC Chairman, Gov. Wike

RESIDENTS of Owerewere Community in Abua/Odual Local Government Area of Rivers State have appealed to Hon. Oye Igenewari CTC Chairman of Abua/Odual and Governor Nyesom Wike to repair the internal road linking their community.

The road, which had been in bad shape for the past three years, was amended late last year by Divine Baptist Church before the cult related crisis.

Most shops and businesses located along the dilapidated road have continued to record poor patronage, and some owners have either relocated or locked up their shops. It was gathered that only few vehicles and motocycles plied the road, due to the bad state of the  road.

“You can see how the rains have taken the road back to its bad condition. As it is, only few motorists ply this road and this is because it leads to their residence, residence lament”

One of the resident of the communuity, who identified himself as Elder Williams Eke, observed that roads in other clans in the LGA communities had been rehabilitated by the CTC Chairman and thereby call on the government of the day to intervene.

He said, “We love the governor and that is why we voted for him. So, he should hear our call and ensure that this road is done once and for all. We have been managing the road for the past years now.
