Sen. Magnus Ngei Abe is a Nigerian politician who was elected and to be re-elected Senator for the Rivers South East constituency of Rivers State, Nigeria.

Sen. Magnus Ngei Abe was born on 24 May 1965 in Nchia, Eleme, Rivers State. He attended St. Patrick College, Ikot-Ansa, Calabar and Akpor Grammar School, Ozuoba.

Obtained an LLB Degree in law, From the Rivers State University of Science and Technology; and was called to bar in 1987, 22yrs old.

 1) Magnus Abe graded a 10KM access road from East-West Expressway to Kaani 2, in Khana LGA.

2) He provided standard water boreholes with generators to Kaani 2, Duburo, Oyorokotor, Kira, Olukanam, Bera, Giokoo, Nchia, Baen, Sogho, and Kenkoro.

3) Magnus Abe extended electricity project to Luubara, Gure, Eweh, Pue, Duburo, Sii, Kabangha, Lumene Bangha, Luegbo Beeri, Nyokuru, Bianu, Luuwa, Nyogor Lueku, Korokoro Lueku, Lueku Bangha, Koro Bangha, Kere Bangha, Nyobe Bangha, and Bionu Bangha communities.

48) In the Senate, he initiated the Local Refineries Licencing Bill that enhance the construction of local refineries by private companies.

49) Senator Magnus Abe, as Chairman of the senate committee on Petroleum, intervened to end the oil workers strike that threatened to ground the Nigerian economy in May 2015. He also investigated the administration of the fraudulent fuel subsidy scheme.
