The Rivers State Government has directed traders in markets across the state to stop trading along major roads.
Governor Wike was accompanied by the Caretaker Chairman of Obio/Akpor local government Area Prince Hon Collins Onunwo.
Governor Wike during an inspection visit to Rumuodomaya and Okoronuodo markets in Obio/Akpor said it is risk to trade along the road.
The governor cautioned traders against dumping waste on drainages and also hinted that traders at Rumuodomaya and Okoronuodo markets will be relocated within the next two months when a new market is expected to be built by the government.
Meanwhile, Obio/Akpor council boss Prince Onunwo Collins urge them to stop trading on the roads and streets that the state governor detest it and that he is here to make life better for them that henceforth illegal street trading will no longer be tolerated any more within Obio/Akpor metropolis.
Prince Onunwo urge them to continue to support the administration of the state governor Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike that he and PDP means well for the people of Obio/Akpor, Rivers state and Nigeria.
