This was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the union’s national executive, senate and general congress. The seven point communiqué signed by the Public Relations Officer of NURSS Worldwide Comrade Timi Mbaba called on the Governor to direct the commencement of verification of students in order to reduce the tension building up amongst students.
The communiqué is expressed discomfort over with it described as delay in the appointment of a special adviser to the Governor on Student Affairs.
The National Union of Rivers State Students said the appointment of an SA on Student Affairs will help bridge the gap between students and the government.
