Chief Barr. Dumo Lulu-Briggs has expressed deep joy and sincere thankfulness to President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, for actualizing the flag-off of the Bonny/Bodo road project, which he considers as one of the best omens experienced in recent times by the people of Rivers State .
The APC Chieftain describes the ceremony as a worthy consolation and a refreshing and hopeful development for Rivers people, particilarly at this time of ceaseless horror and traumatic events in the land.
Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs heartily applauds the Federal Government for keeping faith with her promises to the people and expresses his heartfelt gratitude to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who was ably represented at the epoch making event, by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, for his demonstration of love and commitment towards developing Rivers state and the nation at large.
He said: "I feel joyful and deeply satisfied with what is happening in Rivers State today.
"The Bodo-Bonny flag off event is one of the best omens experienced by Rivers people in recent time; I consider it a timely consolation for the sad stories that have taken over the airwaves in Rivers State.
"I am particularly proud of the Federal Government as led by His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, for ensuring that the project is a reality. The president is clearly not leaving any stone unturned in terms of making sure that the nation and all the Federating Units feel the touch of infrastructural development. The road will alleviate the sufferings of the people and promote trade and commerce. Indeed, it is a great achievement for Rivers State.
"I will not fail to congratulate Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for his long lasting efforts in keeping Rivers state close to the Federal Government. A good man they say, attracts good things. I believe that the Hon. Minister, the leader of the party, APC Rivers State, is a good man and is serving the nation very well. His presence at the Federal Executive Council is really adding value to the existence of Rivers State. May God bless and keep him."
The industrialist and patriot, after expressing his gratitude, thanked Rivers people for showing hospitality to the Vice President and prayed God to continue in strengthening the president and his Vice as they continue in the challenging task of developing the country.
He also blessed the nation and wished for Rivers State to record more good fortunes capable of overwhelming the ills that trouble the land.
