Dr Sokonte Davies, Executive Director, Marine and operations, Nigerian Ports Authority has refuted the claims by M30 that himself and Dr Dakuku Peterside are paying selected Party Officers, perceived to be loyal to their political calculations is the most indiscreet thing to think of.
Dr. Davies, like other true leaders of Rivers APC is totally committed to the building of the Party ahead of the elections in 2019 and no amount of treachery and blackmail from any quarters can stop his genuine intent.
We therefore call on the unsuspecting public to disregard despiradoes who think they can get popularity by the mention of Dr. Sokonte Davies
For the records we would like to state as follows;
1) That the said group M30 is not known to Dr Sokonte Davies.
2) That Dr Sokonte Davies has not in anyway induced, neither does he plan to induce any LGA Party Chairman as erroneously alleged by the cantankerous group as he clearly has no reason to do so.
3) The said group in their news item only dwelled on rumour and falsehood as no party chairman has come forth to ascertain their claim of inducement.
4) We challenge the group to show evidence of such inducement if any.
5) That Dr Sokonte Davies is a gentle and God fearing man who has been going about his job in the NPA and providing support for our leader in the state, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi with due diligence and commitment.
6) That as the laws governing the APC and the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria subsists, there will be free, fair and credible primaries as stated severally by the leader of the party.
Further; we warn that the group forthwith refrains from disparaging the leader of the party in the state and South South, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi Minister for Transportation, Dr. Sokonte Davies, E.D Marine and Operations NPA, and indeed other party leaders who are working assiduously to ensure the growth of the APC in Rivers State.
They should also hearken to the words of Dr Sokonte Davies, wherein he posited thus,
"There is still morality in Politics"
"My currency in politics is loyalty"
