A day after the death of his first son, Jide, the National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Thursday travelled to London in the United Kingdom to privately mourn his son.
Jide Tinubu died on Wednesday.
New Telegraph gathered from a reliable source in the house that Tinubu after attending to some early visitors at his Bourdillon home in Ikoyi, Lagos, travelled on Thursday afternoon to the United Kingdom with his wife, Oluremi and some Islamic clerics to privately mourn the death of his son, Jide.
“Tinubu has travelled out of the country. He went to the United Kingdom with some Islamic clerics, who will stay with him for a period of time to pray with him,” the source told New Telegraph.
Meanwhile, sympathisers have started trooping to the APC national leader residence to mourn with him.
Some of those who visited Tinubu at his residence before he travelled out of the country are; Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State, Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State; Oba of Lagos, His Royal Highness, Oba Rilwan Akiolu; members of Access 57, chairmen of the 20 local government areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), former Senate Minority Leader, Senator Olorunminibe Mamora and Dr. Wale Babalakin, among others.
