Hon. Victoria Nyeche Distributes Christmas Gifts To Her Constituents

The member representing of Port Harcourt City State Constituency 1. in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Mrs. Victoria Nyeche in this season of  Christmas distributed gifts and food items to her constituency.

Hon. Victoria, in the spirit of peace and love have been engaged in a tour round her constituency.

The wards which include Egwuma Abali / Oromeruezimgbu, Orogbum Central, Oroabali central, Orochiri, Oroworukwo, Rumuwoji, Elekahia, Nkpogu and Rainbow communities went agog during this visit.

In her Christmas message, The Honourable member thanked the members of these wards for their support during the period of the legal battle initiated by the enemies of development in the state against her, since 2016 after the appeal court declared her winner of the 2015 general election.

She thanked them immensely in trusting God with her and charged the members of her constituency to take her victories as source of strength and hope in whatever they are believing God for even in this season.

The Honourable who has not lost sight in her primary function as a legislator to make laws also did inform the constituents  of her ability despite starting late of the sponsoring of two bills which the leadership of the House has refused to itemise on the paper for legislation for reasons best known to them.

The bills are:
1. The Rivers State Thanksgiving Day Bill, this bill according to her is to make a law to set aside a day for thanksgiving in the state for the numerous things God has done for us a people.

2. The Rivers State Senior Citizens welfare Bill, this she also describes will address the aged in our state in giving them a peaceful and adequate care even in their old age(home for the old) and preparing for the young in their retirement.

All these she said and other motions she submitted to the leadership for over eight months have not been scheduled on the order paper on any plenary.

Recounting her challenges, the Hon. Nyeche also informed the constituents of the inability of the speaker to approve the disbursement of constituency vote(project fund) of the people of PHALGA Constituency 1 and was wondering if the constituency has been removed from the Rivers State map and charged stakeholders of the various wards irrespective of party divides to ask questions as to know why that of PHALGA Constituency1 is still pending despite the obvious fact that other constituencies in the state have received theirs and are already doing projects fo their people.

The visit she reiterated was basically to appreciate them, celebrate with them in this season of love and to intimate them of the happenings so far in where they mandated her to go and represent them through the instrumentality of their votes.

She urged them to continue to believe in her leadership and believe in God for the ultimate victory in all of these.
