The Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr Dakuku Peterside was at the Diocese of Okrika Anglican Communion Synod Today May 5, 2018, at the St. John’s Anglican Church Abuloma.
In his short speech, he charged the church to pray for peace in Rivers as the state has been stagnated for too long and desperately needs the prayer of the church.
He also asked the Church to pray for the kind of government Rivers state deserves and not people who will force themselves on the people.
He recalled how Okrika contributed to his upbringing in the years he spent in Okrika Grammar School, which he described as the most important of his formative years, adding that he owes the Okrika nation and the church a debt of gratitude.
The Bishop and Chancellor of Okrika Diocese warmly received him.
