The Inter Ethnic Network For Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi (INCRA) has commended the Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC)over the successful congress held across the state.
Despite the tawdry show of shame and display of crass rascality by some elements within the Rivers APC in connivance with hired PDP thugs to disrupt the peaceful and smooth conduct of the Rivers APC Ward Congresses yesterday, May 5, 2018, the Congresses across the 319 Wards of Rivers State held successfully, peacefully, creditably and smoothly in strict compliance with the Party's guidelines.
Indeed, the Rivers APC has shown commendable resilience and strength against the activities of fifth columnists by successfully and peacefully holding its Ward Congresses across the 319 Wards in the State. The APC in Rivers State has demonstrated laudable commitment towards internal democracy and democratic usages as well as proven its capacity and readiness to take over the Brick House come May 29, 2019.
We note with dismay, the unstatesmanlike and unstatutable conduct of some persons within the Party who made themselves willing tools for the PDP to ensure that the Congresses did not hold or resulted in a bloodbath. We condemn this act and urge them to desist from attempting to balkanise the Party as a result of their personal interests and ambitions.
As a group that promotes the progressive ideals of the Party, we call on every forward-looking member of the Party and indeed all Rivers people to identify and align with the Party and its leadership as we set sail to liberate our dear State from the shackles of the present misguided PDP-led government.
We also congratulate all our members nationwide and other true Party members who participated in the Congresses and emerged Officers of the Party in their various Wards. We also commend all Party faithfuls who in spite of provocations refused to be drawn into activities that would disrupt the smooth conduct of the exercise.
