The Nigerian Ports Authority have
empowered hundreds of Rivers State youths through employment programs.
The two day training and empowerment of youths were on Internet usage, professional laundry services and evironmental cleanliness with empowerment items which was scheduled to hold on the 7th and 8th of June, 2018 has been concluded in the three centres of Rivers State, Nigeria.
The centres were in Degema, Bonny and Port Harcourt respectively with top notch resource persons present and ready to put their expertise to work.
In line with the action plan of the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, the Hadiza Bala Usman led Nigerian Ports Authority(NPA), as a corporate social responsibility in collaboration with Flame Point Nigeria Limited(FPNL) is set to alleviate poverty and crime in the state.
Championing the course also is the Executive Director of NPA's marine and operations, Dr. Sokonte Davies, who is known for his magnanimity, passion towards helping the poor and sponsorship of activities that will add real value to lives.
It is worthy of note that this program accommodates over two hundred participants in Rivers State with expectations of resounding success.
