The Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr Dakuku Peterside has described the death of Rivers State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Chinwe Aguma, SAN as a great loss to Rivers people and Nigeria at large.
According to him, "Rivers State has lost a star, a legal luminary and one of the best among his generation. His death is really shocking and unbelievable.
"You may disagree with him sometimes, but you cannot impeach his integrity, passion and knowledge of the law. He is gentle, decent and disciplined."
Dr Peterside, who stated this shortly after paying a condolence visit to the family of the Agumas in Port Harcourt, said Rebisi kingdom has lost another illustrious son following earlier demise of Chief Nnamdi Wokekoro.
He commiserated with the Government of Rivers State, Aguma's family and the people of Rebisi kingdom over the death of the Attorney General.
He commended the Aguma family for their service to Rivers State and Nigeria, stressing that they remain a role model for upcoming generations.
