Aide Reveal How Gov. Obaseki Sent Thugs To Attack Oshiomhole's House


Chief press secretary to Adams Oshiomhole, the APC's national chairman, Mr. Simon Ebegbelem, has revealed how governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki aided attack on his boss' residence.

The aide said that the attack was ochestrated by thugs sent by the governor. Ebegbelem added that the attack was part of the plan to frustrate everyone who is against the governor's third term bid in the state according to a report by The Nation, Edo state was tensed on Sunday, October 13, following the alleged attack on the residence of the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s national chairman, Adams Oshiomole. 

The same newspaper reports that some youths were at the Oshiomhole’s residence, singing provocative song until they were chased away by anti-riot policemen. Simon Ebegbulem, the chief press secretary to the APC’s national chairman said that the attack was carried out by miscreants sent by the governor of the state, Godwin Obaseki.

The aide said the attack was all part of the plan to threaten those who are against the governor’s second term bid in the state. Danmallam Abubakar, the police commissioner in the state, however, denied the report that there was an attack on the APC’s chief, saying it was all a lie. On the other hand, Crusoe Osagie, the special adviser to the state’s governor, said the allegation levelled against his principal was untrue. He said the People Democratic Party (PDP) has no knowledge of the attack at all, adding that the police also confirmed they do not know of any attack when the party contacted them. 

The former governor was reacting to report that he was out to impeach the Edo governor. Oshiomhole in a statement by his special adviser on media, Simon Ebegbulem, said his greatest desire was to see the governor succeed in his job.
