Wike's Defeat, A Prayer Answered For Workers And Pensioners In The State ~ APC


The Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has described Governor Nyesom Wike’s defeat at the PDP presidential primaries as prayer answered for workers and pensioners in the state.

Spokesperson of the APC, Chris Finebone, in a statement advised Governor Wike to prioritize governance over politics or resign.

Mr Finebone asked the state governor to immediately reconstitute the State Executive Council and put in place an improved structure to tackle the challenge of refuse management in the state.

On Saturday night, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, emerged the winner of the PDP presidential primary election.

The 75-year-old politician defeated 12 other aspirants in the election held in Abuja. He polled a total of 371 votes to defeat his closest rival, Governor Nyesom Wike who polled a total of 237 votes.
