Rivers Assembly Empowers Wike to Access N14.16bn FG loan

The Rivers State House of Assembly has given authorization to Governor NYESOM WIKE to access over fourteen billion naira from Federal Government’s budget support facility.

The house gave the authorization following a request by the Governor.

The Speaker of the Assembly ADAMS DABOTORUDIMA while reading the letter from the Governor said the conditional budget support facility of the Federal Government is to enable the State address its present economic challenge.

Governor NYESOM WIKE in the letter said the Rivers State Government could not access the ten billion naira bailout funds of the federal government that was earlier approved by the assembly.

The Governor’s request was unanimously approved by the lawmakers.
