Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that all the 23 local government areas of the state will benefit from his development projects as part of his vision to recreate the state.
This is as the leaders of the State have expressed satisfaction with Governor Wike for judiciously applying scarce resources for the development of the State.
Addressing journalists after leading selected leaders of Rivers State on the inspection of projects on Saturday, Governor Wike said that despite the financial downturn, he will deliberately ensure the spread of development projects.
The governor said: "I have led the leaders on this project tour, so that they can appreciate what we are doing with scarce resources available to the state . The leaders are happy with what we are doing and we are quite satisfied.
"We give God the glory for giving us the wisdom to manage with the scarce resources. We shore up the little we get from the Federation Account with our little Internally Generated Revenue to ensure that we pay salaries and sustain the execution of development projects ".
He said the successful biometric exercise has reduced the wage bill of the state, making more resources available for development.
Governor Wike added: "Our resolve is that God willing , we will make our impact felt in all the 23 Local Government Areas of the state ".
In an interview after the project tour, Former Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus stated that Governor Wike is building for the future with his selection of projects.
He said: "Governor Wike has come up with a vision to build a new Rivers State and he is achieving the dream of the people ".
In his remarks, Senator George Sekibo said the vision of the state governor is not ordinary as it has transformed the landscape of the state.
Member of the House of Representatives, Hon Ken Chinda said: "I have seen somebody who is a governor with a difference. He is a governor who is doing more with less resources.
"As a Rivers man , I am happy that God has given us a visionary leader".
