The Former Deputy Secretary of the All Progressives Congress(APC)in Rivers State,Hon.Napoleon Ukalikpe has described attempts by agents of darkness to smear the image of Mrs Amaechi,wife of the Former Governor of Rivers State as a joke taken too far over NDDC contracts.
Hon.Ukalikpe has noted with serious concern the ongoing cheap onslaught by some dubious characters to drag the impeccable image of the wife of his leader and Transportation Minister,Dame Judith Amaechi to the mud.
While expressing joy that the Empowerment Support Initiative(ESI)a pet project initiated by the former First Lady of Rivers State has roundly debunked the smear campaign of calumny with facts and figures.
He stated that the campaign of calumny against the wife of the Minister of Transportation,Dame Judith Amaechi is undeserving,malicious and should be condemned by people of good conscience.
He warned that politics should be played with decency and not abysmally low as witnessed today.
The former Council Chairman of Ahoada East urged the people to discountenance the present campaign of calumny against Dame Judith Amaechi and join hands to support the ESI an NGO that has impacted positively on the lives of Rivers and Niger Delta people.
He pointed out that this present media attack was targeted at the Transportation Minister,especially in view of his sagacious political profile,adding that people have become more desperate to pull Amaechi down before Nigerians as we approach towards 2023.
Hon.Ukalikpe,however call on Nigerians and Rivers people to disregard the calculated efforts by agents of darkness to peddle falsehoods at Rt.Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi,by trying to give a bad name to an innocent NGO and its founder,Mrs Amaechi,on the wheels of evil politics.
Hon.Ukalikpe has lampooned the People’s Democratic Party(PDP)for calling for the sack of the Minister of Transportation,over alleged unremitted N165bn operating surplus in the Nigerian Port Authority(NPA).
He stated that the PDP as a busybody lacked the moral ground to accuse anyone of corruption,adding that PDP was chased out of power by Nigerians on the grounds of corruption,incompetence and abysmal failure.
While describing Amaechi as a child of Grace and an incorruptible man who served Rivers State meritoriously by bringing developments to the doors of the 23 LGA’s in the State.
Calling on Nigerians to support Amaechi as the face of Buhari and APC led Government in ensuring that the infrastructural revolution of the government was effectively implemented to the economic benefits of everyone.
